Reminiscing ODM MUN 2018 and 2019 transports us into Nostalgic reverberations of happy faces and well-contested debates. It also reminds us of bonding over food plates. The ambiance teaming with young intellectuals saw 100s of delegates and several committees.
The journey has been in leaps and bounds- from 275 delegates in 2018 to 325 delegates in 2019 and half a dozen committees, laying the foundation of future diplomats, negotiators, and leaders, the event saw the transformation of young minds to responsible problem solvers. The onset of winter only succeeded in raising the warmth in issues plaguing international issues during the committee sessions.
The students got diverse flavors of networking forging friendships based on agreements. Both the years 2018 and 2019 opened up new horizons for students seeking to take their debating skills to the next level and really making the oratories functional. The delegates made a smooth forage into the world of creative thinking.
The three-day event hosted quite a galaxy of eminent personalities as guest speakers who motivated the participants to put their best foot forward and give a meaningful interpretation to the global issues on the agenda.
In the closing ceremony, the students enjoyed a musical extravaganza while carrying back mementos and memories to be cherished for a lifetime.
In 2020, the pandemic restricted us into our homes, but learning did not stop. We conducted the ODMeMUN for the first time successfully and as it was virtual, we had about 150 foreign delegates from across the world along with 300 Indian delegates. They had a virtual experience which though cannot be compared with the physical MUN, was yet a great learning.
